ADV's Anime Network has announced its first cable system deal: an initial 25 hours of Anime Network programming will be made available to video-on-demand customers of Comcast in the Philadelphia area. Video-on-demand is available at no additional charge to all Comcast digital cable customers, some 1.2 million households. The programming is made available to viewers at times of their own choosing with the same functionality they'd have if they were viewing the programming on a VCR. The Anime Network promises announcements on additional cable systems soon.
