Edgar Wright, who directed Scott Pilgrim (and Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead), is in negotiations to direct The Night Stalker, according to Hollywood Reporter. Johnny Depp is attached to play Kolchak (see “Johnny Depp to Play Kolchak”).  Wright is also rewriting Ant-Man (see “’Wright Returns to ‘Ant-Man’”), which would add to his major geek oeuvre.
