Joel Kinnaman has been offered the title role in the new version of Robocop, according to Deadline.  Kinnaman’s previous appearances include a run in AMC’s The Killing, Safe House, and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The new Robocop has a director (Jose Padilha) and recently added Nick Schenk (Gran Torino) to work on the script (see “Hollywood Round-Up”).
