Here is the first clip from the next DC Comics Premiere movie, Superman vs. The Elite, which goes on sale on June 12th in both DVD and BD versions. The latest in DC's series of "PG" rated, direct-to-DVD animated featured, Superman vs. The Elite is based on Joe Kelly's award-winning tale "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way," which appeared in Action Comics #775 (see "Miller's 'The Dark Knight Returns' Gets Animated").
Superman vs. The Elite is scripted by Kelly and directed by Michael Chang (Batman: Brave and the Bold). It features the vocal talents of George Newbern as Superman and Pauley Perrette as Lois Lane. This first clip released by Warner Bros. concentrates on The Elite, a quartet of ruthless superheroes led by Manchester Black, who appear in Metropolis and demonstrate both their super powers and their willingness to kill on a massive scale to stop villainy, qualities that put them on a collison course with The Man of Steel.
