The latest production blog from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey provides an extensive tour of Jackson’s Stone Street Studios in Wellington, New Zealand. Almost every department at the studio gets some exposure in this behind-the-scenes tour, which also includes footage of many on screen performers such as James Nesbit. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in Wellington, New Zealand on November 28th and on December 14th here in the U.S. The movie is being shot at double the normal "frame rate" and Jackson believes that this mode of filming will, when combined with the film’s 3-D, create an especially immersive experience (see "Peter Jackson Defends 'Hobbit' Footage"),
