Chris Oliveros, Acquiring Editor & Publisher of Canada’s Drawn & Quarterly, has announced that the company has acquired North American and UK rights to Art Spiegelman’s CO-MIX: A Retrospective of Comics, Graphics, and Scraps.
Set for release in the spring of 2013, the book is an expanded English version of the Flammarion bilingual (French and English) edition and will feature full-page reproductions of Spiegelman's artwork, comics, and preliminary sketches, tracing the evolution of the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist throughout his career.
A project years in the making, CO-MIX began as a museum exhibit chronicling Spiegelman’s lifelong involvement in the comic book industry.
