Valiant Entertainment has announced that it will launch Shadowman in November.  It will be written by Justin Jordan, who received a 2012 Harvey Award nomination for his Strange Talent of Luther Strode with Image Comics, and illustrated by Patrick Zircher, who is also producing covers for Valiant's X-O Manowar.  The premiere issue will include a cover by Zircher alongside retailer incentive variants from Dave Johnson and Bill Sienkiewicz.  Continuing the trend established by X-O Manowar (see "Valiant Offers Pullbox Variant"), Shadowman will also have a Pullbox Exclusive Variant Blackout cover by Zircher.

Originally created by writers Steve Engleheart and Jim Shooter, and artist David Lapham, Shadowman premiered in 1992 following an appearance in X-O Manowar.  The first series ran for nearly three years with forty-three issues.  A second series published by Acclaim saw Garth Ennis and Jamie Delano as authors, and Ashley Wood and Charlie Adlard as illustrators from 1997 to 1999 for twenty issues.  Shadowman was also the inspiration behind two video games also produced by Acclaim in 1999 and 2002, as well as an eventual third volume of 6 issues directly tied to the 1999 game.
Shadowman will be the fifth title in the new Valiant universe (see "'Archer and Armstrong' #1 in August").
