The Alderac Entertainment Group sold out of Paul Peterson’s shuffle-building card game Smash Up (see "'Smash Up'") at GenCon, but the game will be released to retail soon and AEG plans to support the launch with a set of 8 posters, each featuring one of the game’s different factions.  These posters will be available to retailers who are interested in promoting the fast-moving and fun card game.  Designed for 2-4 players, ages 8 and up, Smash Up takes just 45 minutes to play.

Players draft two of the eight 20-card faction decks and shuffle them together and start competing to smash bases.  The factions are what make it interesting as players will come with some strange combinations when working with the "aliens," "pirates," "zombies," "ninjas," etc. that make up the game’s competing groups.  Each combination provides a different playing experience.  Pirate/Alien decks have to be played differently than Pirate/Zombie, or Pirate/Dinosaur decks.  Players compete to “smash bases” and are awarded points based on their success.

AEG’s Smash Up shuffle-building card game includes 160 minion and Action cards, 16 base cards, and a 12-page rulebook.
