Matthew Vaughn will not direct X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to X-Men: First Class, according to Deadline. Producer Bryan Singer (who directed the first two X-Men films and wrote a treatment for this one) may step in to direct, according to the report. Vaughn directed the first Kick-Ass movie as well as X-Men: First Class, so has a history of doing the first film in a series but eschewing the sequel.
Vaughn may direct The Secret Service, based on pal Mark Millar’s comic, instead (see "Vaughn Choosing Millar Comics Film").
