Image Comics has announced that it will publish comics based on the vintage videogame property Street Fighter, beginning in August. The comic will be produced by UDON Entertainment, which holds the license from Capcom. The action fighting game Street Fighter was first developed as an arcade game in the 80s, and has since been sold in a variety of incarnations as a console game. The comic will be written by Ken Siu-Chong (X-Men Unlimited, Fantastic Four, Taskmaster, Robotech), with art by a rotating creative team that includes Alvin Lee (Deadpool, Agent X), Arnold Tsang (collaborations with Jim Lee, Michael Turner, Chris Bachalo) and Andrew Hou (colorist on Ultimate Daredevil & Elektra, Sentinel). Lee and Tsang will do b/w art, Tsang and Hou will do the colors. August will see a preview issue of the Street Fighter comic; the regular ongoing series will ship in September.
