Marvel has released the first poster for Thor:  The Dark World, the Thor sequel due out November 8.  Images from the shooting beginning last August (see "Official Still from 'Thor: The Dark World'") were plentiful, now it appears the studio is beginning the formal reveal of images and clips in the run-up to release.

The film is directed by Alan Taylor and in addition to star Chris Hemsworth also features Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
