Bill Willingham’s Fables (Vertigo) is in development as a feature film by David Heyman (producer of the Harry Potter films) and Jeffrey Clifford of Heyday Films, according to Hollywood Reporter. Danish director Nikolaj Arcel is attached to direct and Jeremy Slater, credited as a writer on the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, is writing the script, according to the report.
Fables was last in development, for a TV series (see "'Fables' Pilot"), back in 2008.
The 18th volume of Fables was released in January. A snazzy new 10th anniversary edition of Volume 1 was released last May.
