Marvel is launching two new titles featuring X-Men characters in November: Wolverine: Origin II and Amazing X-Men.
Marvel’s Origin is getting a sequel written by Kieron Gillen (Phonogram) and drawn by Adam Kubert (Ultimate X-Men). Wolverine: Origin II #1 will chronicle the early adventures of James Howlett, the clawed curmudgeon more commonly known as Logan.
Set a few years after Origin, the end of which found Logan trapped between his animal and human natures, Origin II further illuminates Wolverine’s transformation from feral beast to heroic X-Man. Plus, the story promises to reveal the biggest secret behind Wolverine’s greatest enemy.
Amazing X-Men #1, also shipping in November, features the return of Nightcrawler, who gave his life to protect his fellow mutants during X-Men: Second Coming. Storm, Beast, and Ice Man, led by Wolverine, must embark on a dangerous journey into the unknown to rescue their teleporting teammate.
Taking place in the aftermath of X-Men: Battle of the Atom (see "'X-Men: Battle of the Atom'"), Amazing X-Men #1 is written by Jason Aaron (Wolverine) and drawn by Ed McGuinness (Superman/Batman).
