New York Comic Con News: At the New York Comic Con IDW Publishing and Hasbro announced (via Entertainment Weekly) that IDW will create a special commemorative cover for the 12th issue of the popular kids comic My Little Pony. The cover by Andy Price is a clever self-referential piece that asks the rhetorical question, "Can the Princess of Love Compete with the Siren Call of the Comic Book???."
Unfortunately for comics fans who might be interested in acquiring one of these clever covers, according to EW only 12 of Price’s design will be printed, and fans who want one will have to pay close attention to any messages from IDW and Hasbro concerning how this scarce collectible can be acquired.
IDW recently announced that sales of their My Little Pony comics have topped 1 million, less than a year after launch (see "IDW's 'MLP' Sales Hit 1M").
