New York Comic Con News: IDW Publishing has announced the spring 2014 debut of a new The Crow miniseries, The Crow: Pestilence, which marks the comic book writing debut of crime author Frank Bill (Donnybrook) with artist Drew Moss (The Colonized) penciling the interiors, and The Crow creator James O’Barr providing the covers.
The Crow: Pestilence transplants the spirit of vengeance to the Southwest ("No Country for Old Crows?"), and introduces a whole new cast of characters as it explores grim scenes of greed and betrayal in the crime-ridden streets of Juarez, Mexico. Neo-tough guy writer Bill, who has been compared to crime novelist Jim Thompson, is sure to bring a hardboiled touch to the central theme of bloody vengeance that is at the heart of The Crow’s appeal.
