Marvel Studios has announced that Academy Award-winner Michael Douglas has been cast as Hank Pym in Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man. Paul Rudd was previously cast as Ant-Man (see "Paul Rudd as Ant-Man"); he will play the Scott Lang version.
Hank Pym was the first Ant-Man, introduced in Tales to Astonish #27 (see "'Tales to Astonish' #27 Sells for $65K"); Scott Lang became Ant-Man in Marvel Premiere #47.
Ant-Man will open July 31, 2015.
