Stronghold Games has announced two board game releases for April, Rogue Agent and Voluspa: Order of the Gods.
Rogue Agent, designed by David Ausloos (Panic Station and Dark, Darker, Darkest), is a new cyberpunk adventure game that includes resource and risk management elements, and will only be available in a "Limited Edition" version that contains 10 additional Criminal cards. Players take the role of members of a secret agency of bounty hunters, attempting to stem the tide of corruption and crime. Players win by obtaining the most power over the city--the first player to reach eight power wins.
The game includes detailed plastic miniatures, location tiles, identity and criminal cards, agent tracker markers, a bomb sheet, credits, informants, a turn marker, agent tracker boards, influence markers, 9 special dice and 7 regular dice, a clock token, and a rule book. The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 90 minutes. MSRP is $59.95.
Voluspa: Order of the Gods is an expansion for the tile-laying game Voluspa (see "Stronghold's Summer Game Releases"). The new tiles can be combined with the base game or blended with the expansion module, Saga of Edda, which was included in the base game. Four recommended game setup variants are included, with many other variants possible. Voluspa is for 2 – 5 players, and plays in 45 minutes. MSRP on the expansion is $19.95.
