At Toy Fair, USAopoly’s Media Coordinator Andrea Rodi shared plans for several licensed products for 2014, including Bang!: The Walking Dead and Yahtzee: The Walking Dead.
USAopoly has licensed daVinci’s best-selling spaghetti-western shoot-out card game Bang!, designed by Emiliano Sciarra. Bang!: The Walking Dead will apply The Walking Dead comic characters and copy over the classic Bang! game mechanics, with some new strategy elements. Release date was not announced, but MSRP will be $24.95.
Yahtzee: The Walking Dead will tentatively be housed in the empty head of a red-eyed zombie. It will also include a new "Battle Yahtzee" style of play. "It’s based on the (Yahtzee Adventures) app," said Rodi. "You can attack your opponents; they can attack you; you can heal yourself. It adds more interaction between people, rather than just the luck of the roll."
Release date was not announced, but MSRP will be $29.95. Rodi also said that unlike last year’s MONOPOLY: The Walking Dead and RISK: The Walking Dead Survival Edition (see "'The Walking Dead Monopoly' and 'Risk'") these will be distributed by USAopoly to its full range of trade distribution customers.
There is also a Walking Dead version of TACDEX planned for August (see “Borg's 'TACDEX' From USAopoly”).
