The TV series based on the groundbreaking French comics anthology Metal Hurlant has found a home in the U.S., according to Variety. The first two seasons have been acquired for the Syfy channel, which will begin airing episodes in April.
The magazine on which the series is based was founded by Moebius and Philippe Druillet and published by Humanoids, which is co-producing the series. It was published in the U.S. as Heavy Metal, and inspired an animated movie in 1981. Stars including James Marsters, Joe Flanigan, Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White appear in the series (see "Hauer, Marsters in 'Metal Hurlant'").
