The Adventure Time Card Wars game may have just released, but Cryptozoic Entertainment is wasting no time in releasing a booster product; Adventure Time Card Wars: For The Glory! will release in April.
The Adventure Time Card Wars starter decks have already sold out in some places (see "Rolling for Initiative--Flooping the Pig, It's a Game Thing"), proving that fans of Adventure Time are eager to re-create the game played by characters in the cartoon show. As Cryptozoic promised, while the starter decks themselves are not collectible, this new booster product will be (see "'Adventure Time Card Wars'").
The Adventure Time Card Wars: For The Glory! booster will offer 107 new cards, sold in 9-card packs. Each pack will contain 6 Common, 2 Uncommon and 1 Rare. Set breakdown is 50 Common, 33 Uncommon, 24 Rare. Cryptozoic did say that Uncommon and Rare cards “will be designated with some extra shine.” The 9-card packs will come 24 to a display.
The focus of the booster will be on mixed Landscape decks. Most of this set will be based on the Useless Swamps, Blue Plains, Cornfields, and SandyLands Landscapes found in The Adventure Time Card Wars Collector’s Packs, but there will be a few NiceLands cards with a glimpse of what is in store for the future using this new fifth type of Landscape. Cards from this booster will also allow players to use their opponent’s Landscapes to their own strategic advantage.
Cryptozoic is making the most of their Adventure Time license with other new products planned for 2014 (see "Cryptozoic 'Adventure Time' Releases").
