As ICv2 predicted (see 'Viz Gets Rights To Rurouni Kenshin Manga'), the Rurouni Kenshin manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki will appear in the American edition of Shonen Jump. An article in the current issue of Jump indicates that Rurouni Kenshin will start its run in Shonen Jump in November. The anime version of the action-heavy samurai saga is currently running on the Toonami Block of the Cartoon Network, where it is doing very well in the ratings (see 'Cartoon Network Ratings Up'). Once the manga starts appearing in Shonen Jump, Viz will start collecting the monthly installments and begin issuing reasonably priced graphic novel collections in 2004.
