Wizard World East's sophomore showing surpassed the expectations of all involved with 21,000 attendees, an increase of over 37% from the first year's 16,000.  In addition to visitors, the convention, held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, had 120 retailers, 45 exhibitors, and more than 115 artists and industry professionals.

Gaming played a bigger role at this year's convention, with over 300 people laying in the MechWarrior National Championship, with players coming from all over the country.

Next up for Wizard is Wizard World Chicago which returns to the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center for its 7th year August 8th-10th, with Jim Lee as the guest of honor(see 'Wizard World Chicago Attendance over 40,000').
