Mainframe Entertainment's computer-generated animation of Jill Thompson's Scary Godmother graphic novel is now available on DVD through Amazon's Canadian outlet (srp $18.99 Canadian).  The cartoon will be shown in October on Canadian TV and Disney TV International plans to air it in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.  No word when the cartoon based on the graphic novel/storybook originally published by Sirius will be shown in the U.S.

Meanwhile Jill Thompson's manga-esque graphic novel for DC, Death: At Death's Door has reached as high as number 7 on the Bookscan list of best-selling graphic novels in bookstores -- certainly one of the loftiest positions ever earned by an American graphic novel that is not tied-in to a major movie project.
