Manga publisher Broccoli International has chosen Diamond Book Distributors as the exclusive U.S. and non-exclusive worldwide distributor of English language versions of its titles to the bookstore, library, and warehouse markets. Other distributors, such as FM International, will continue to distribute Broccoli books to the comic shop market (along with Diamond Comic Distributors). Broccoli has only recently unveiled the first volumes in its manga lineup, which include Di Gi Charat, Galaxy Angel, and Aquarian Age-Juvenile Orion (see 'Broccoli Books Starts Manga Line'). Given the success of manga in the bookstore market and Broccoli's strong Japanese connections -- the company owns the Gamers chain of anime character stores in Japan (see 'Takara Buys Into Broccoli') -- the addition of Broccoli Books should help Diamond Book Distributors, which already distributes manga titles from Dark Horse, Comics One, Fanboy, Gutsoon, and other publishers.
