Mongoose Publishing has acquired the rights to create role-playing games, collectible miniatures games, and graphic novels based on Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers novel, and the movie and the animated TV series based on Heinlein's brilliant chronicle of outer space conflict.  The first licensed Starship Troopers release from Mongoose will be the Starship Troopers RPG, which will be based on Mongoose's opening gaming system, and which will be released in the last quarter of 2004.  The Starship Troopers RPG sourcebook will provide a wealth of information about the totalitarian Earth government and the alien races bent on domination of the galaxy.

The RPG will be followed in the first quarter of 2005 by the Starship Troopers Miniatures War Game, the first CMG (collectible miniatures game) from Mongoose. The Starship Troopers CMG will debut in a large box set containing enough mobile infantry and Arachnids to stage some major galactic conflicts.  Additional miniatures, vehicles, and armies will appear throughout the rest of 2005.  Mongoose is planning to use a mixture of plastic and metal miniatures in its Starship Troopers CMG, and the publisher will include painting guides where appropriate. 

Mongoose will also publish a number of graphic novels based on the Starship Troopers property.  The Starship Troopers graphic novels will feature new aliens on the attack as well as old enemies launching new offensives.
