Pixar's superhero CGI toon The Incredibles had a super-strong second weekend, grossing $51 million over the three days according to studio estimates.  This follows up its $70.7 million opening weekend (see 'Super Opening for the Incredibles'), only a 28% drop-off.  This is a very small reduction between the first two weekends, bespeaking good word-of-mouth and audience satisfaction.  The Incredibles has grossed $144 million since its opening.

Polar Express, based on the children's book of the same title, sold $23.5 million in tickets over the three-day weekend, and $30.8 million since its Wednesday opening.

This is all good for pop culture retailers, who have a lot more merchandise based on The Incredibles than on Polar Express.
