This December, Raw Entertainment and Image Comics will publish Bad Planet, the first collaboration between horror maven Steve Niles (30 Days of Night, Criminal Macabre) and actor Thomas Jane (The Punisher, Stander). With a plot that could be fairly described as War of the Worlds meets Starship Troopers -- arachnid-like aliens invade the Earth to prey on humans like cattle -- Bad Planet conjures up visions of the science fiction pulp magazines of the 1940s and the E.C. comics of the 1950s. Niles and Jane, who are writing the Bad Planet saga together, have come up with a roster of talented artists including Tim Bradstreet, who will ink the pencil work of Lewis Larosa (The Punisher) as well as provide two covers for the series, and the great horror comics artist Bernie Wrightson, who will also provide a cover image.
