White Wolf Publishing will release the most deluxe d20 campaign setting ever at Gencon 2006. Ptolus, designed by Monte Cook, will retail for an eyepopping $120 and come packaged with loads of extras. White Wolf expects gaming groups to pool their funds to purchase the elaborate setting, which includes a 700-page full color book that comes with fold-out maps and a CD containing PDF files for a 96-page supplement. The setting, which Cook designed for the play-testing of the Dungeons & Dragons Third Edition, is based on a fantasy city built around a towering spire.
In May White Wolf will release a 32-page Player's Book (MSRP $1.99), which will serve as an introduction to world of Ptolus.
