Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles has announced the signing of an extensive license agreement giving it the rights to produce action figures, ships, statues, Minimates and other collectibles based on the five Star Trek television series, as well as the films.  In addition to detailed action figures, DST will be releasing a new starship, prop replicas, resin statues and Minimate block figures.

Even though DST is now the license-holder, Art Asylum will continue to develop each collectible, as it has in the past when it was the license-holder.  Action figures of Commander William Riker and Lieutenant Commander Worf, from Star Trek: The Next Generation, will be the first releases under the new license.  Multiple exclusive versions based on each character's most memorable moments will also be produced.
