According to the Hollywood Reporter NBC Universal Television Studio has optioned the rights to the upcoming Platinum Studios graphic novel, Meet the Haunteds for development as a half-hour comedy series for the NBC network.  Written by Chris Wichtendahl, Meet the Haunteds focuses on the tribulations of an upper middle class white family that moves into a renovated house in a gentrified neighborhood only to find that their new digs are haunted by a black family from the early 1970s (sort of Frasier meets Good Times with a ghostly twist).  Platinum Studios chairman Scott Mitchell Rosenberg succinctly described the new series as a 'supernatural culture clash,' and noted that the show would deal with 'class' issues as well as 'race.'

In addition to this deal Platinum has placed Top Cow's The Darkness at Dimension (see 'The Darkness Falls in Hollywood') and has signed a multi-film deal with Gold Circle Films (see '$200 Million for Platinum Studio Films').
