Alternative Comics Benefit Book

9-11 Emergency Relief, a comic trade paperback featuring work by dozens of comic creators, ships January 2002 from Alternative Comics. The 160-page book features a Frank Cho cover and will retail for $14.95. All profits will be donated to the American Red Cross. Alternative's Jeff Mason is serving as editor and coordinator of the project. The stories will be non-fiction accounts of the cartoonists' experiences related to the September 11th attack. In addition to the donated work by the creators, Diamond Comic Distributors, Quebecor, Wizard, Comic Shop News, Oni Press, and others have offered support for this project. Among the many creators contributing work to this collection are Cho, Guy Davis, Will Eisner, Marc Hempel, Gray Morrow, Harvey Pekar, Jeff Smith, and Mark Wheatley.
