Marvel Comics will launch Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, a new five-issue series starring Godzilla in the Marvel Universe in July, Marvel Comics and Toho International announced. The new series will be written by Gerry Duggan with art by Javier Garron.
In the first issue, Earth heroes have united to battle a newly awakened Godzilla, but need help, so also reach out to join forces with powerful villains. Godzilla is tearing through the Marvel Universe into the Dark Dimension and other realms, with mysterious connections to Vibranium and hidden meaning for Wakanda.
The main cover of the first issue is by Mark Brooks.
The new series launches in July, building on the series of six Godzilla one-shots it's currently releasing (see "’Preview: Godzilla vs. Thor’").
