The New York Comic Con, which will be held at the Javits Center from February 23-25th, has added J. Michael Straczynski and Marc Silvestri as Guests of Honor, joining the previously announced Jeff Smith and Stan Lee. Starczynski, who has enjoyed considerable success in television with Babylon 5, is currently writing the Amazing Spider-Man and is also penning the upcoming Bullet Points mini-series, while Marc Silvestri, a skilled artist and comic book creator, was one of the original founders of Image and has guided what is arguably the most successful of the Image studios, Tow Cow Productions.
The New York Comic Con also announced a number of other guests including topflight veteran artists Gene Colan, Michael Golden, and George Perez as well as top drawer comic book scribe Peter David and Kevin Smith, the movie director and pop culture maven who moonlights as comic book writer.
