The action will soon be heating up at the Skypad Appartments and word is that Spacely Sprockets is gearing up to resume production as Warner Brothers revives the 1962 Hanna-Barbera cartoon series, The Jetsons as a live action comedy feature. Adam Shankman, who directed the current hit Bringing Down the House is set to helm the film which is being produced by Denise Di Novi. In spite of the miserable fate of previous attempts to turn vintage TV cartoons like The Flintstones and Rocky & Bullwinkle into live action hits, there is some hope that mild mannered George Jetson, perky wife Jane, their children Judy and Elroy, plus Astro and Rosie can make the transition to live action more or less intact since the humor in Jetsons came primarily from the futuristic gadgets rather than the series' nice, but bland characters (Cosmo G. Spacely excepted).
