Magnetic Press will release a series of four graphic novels based on The Adventures of Basil and Moebius, a new property created by Ryan Schifrin, beginning in March 2015.  In addition to the graphic novels, a short film and fiction based on the property are also planned.

The graphic novel stories will be adapted and co-written by Larry Hama, with art by Lizzy John, Adam Archer, Rey Villegas, Jeff Huet, Ross Hughes, and Novo Malgapo, and additional art by Les Toil, David Krentz, and Tim Truman.  The cover of the first volume is by Dave Dorman, and it features a foreword by Timothy Zahn.

The hardcover graphic novels will each run 120 to 160 pages and retail for $17.99 to $19.99.

The story follows thieves who are recruited to find artifacts that may have supernatural powers.

Between the quarterly releases of the graphic novels, Magnetic plans a series of prose short stories featuring the characters, to be released online, by authors such as Timothy Zahn, Richard Lee Byers, and Greg Bear.

The launch of the first graphic novel will coincide with the online release of No Rest for the Wicked, a short live-action film written and directed by Schifrin.  It features Zachary Levi, Ray Park, and Malcolm McDowell.  No Rest for the Wicked has played at numerous festivals, but the online release will be the first time a broad audience will have access to the film.
