This week’s most striking comic book cover (at least so far) comes from the upcoming spring 2015 Archie vs. Predator crossover that was announced at this year’s New York Comic Con (see "'Archie Meets Predator' Crossover").  Eric Powell’s variant cover for the Dark Horse/Archie crossover pulls no punches in its depiction of what happens when Riverdale’s perpetual teenagers visit Costa Rica on spring break and find a good deal more than “good clean fun” when they become the prey being hunted in the tropical rainforest.

In a previous crossover event the Archie gang met the Punisher, but that appears to have been a walk in the park in comparison with their upcoming Central American encounter.  Geek Tyrant first unveiled Powell’s striking Archie vs. Predator variant cover.
