Famed horror director Wes Craven is exec producing a TV adaptation of Steve Niles’ new Black Mask comic The Disciples, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rights to the comics are being acquired by Universal Cable Productions (Being Human, Defiance). In addition to Craven and Niles, Black Mask co-founders Matt Pizzolo and Brett Gurewitz will also exec produce.
The comic, with story by Niles and art by Christopher Mitten (30 Days of Night, Criminal Macabre), premieres in May (see "Black Mask Studios' Next Wave"), telling a ghost story in space.
