At a recent convention appearance, Adam West and Burt Ward announced the return of the Dynamic Duo for the 50th Anniversary of the classic Batman TV series, if only in animated form.

"You can look forward to a new animated Batman full-length 90 minute feature, coming out on the 50th Anniversary," Ward said at the Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, NC last weekend.  "One of possibly two, but for sure one that Adam and I will be doing the voices for."

The Batman TV series launched on January 12, 1966, so the official 50th Anniversary date will fall in 2016.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products launched a Batman Classic licensing stream for the TV show in 2013 (see "'Batman Classic' TV Licensing Program") which included a DC Comics title (see "'Batman '66 Meets the Green Hornet'") as well an ever-expanding list of figures, costumes, and home merchandise (see "Toy Fair Pics--'Batman: The Animated Series'") that has continued well past the November arrival of the home entertainment release (see "Classic 'Batman' Home Video Date Announced").
