Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the writer/directors of The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street, and 22 Jump Street, are working on a treatment for Warner Bros.’ The Flash film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is slated to star Ezra Miller and open March 23, 2018 (see "Warners Announces Nine More DC Movies").
The pair are not yet signed to direct; scheduling may be a problem as the two are a hot commodity after the success of their films. They’re currently writing and producing The Last Man on Earth for Fox, and are attached as producers to the Lego Batman Movie (see "Will Arnett as Batman, Channing Tatum as Superman"), Ninjago (see "'Ninjago' Movie Gets Date"), 23 Jump Street, and the Lego Movie sequel.
