No Thank You, Evil! is based on Monte Cook’s Cypher System, modified so children as young as five can play and using a tiered ruleset that allows children to add levels of complexity as they grow (see “Monte Cook Plans New Children’s RPG”).

Monte Cook has shown a good level of retailer support with their earlier projects (see “‘Numenera’ B&M Promotion”), and continues to do so with No Thank You, Evil!  The Kickstarter campaign includes a $200 retailer backer level, exclusively for brick and mortar stores, which includes 10 copies of the basic game as well as promotional materials.  As an additional incentive, backers of the Kickstarter campaign will receive their copies of the game sometime in February, 2016, weeks before it enters regular distribution.

The Kickstarter campaign revealed new information about what will be included in the final version of the game.  In addition to the rulebook, there will be five special dice, character sheets, game cards, and tokens.  A special “Kickstarter Edition” is also being offered, with upgraded and additional components in a larger, deluxe box.
