Z-Man Games has announced a reprint of Uwe Rosenberg’s multiple-award-winning game of medieval monasteries, Ora et Labora--originally published under the name Ora & Labora when Z-Man released it in 2011. The game is expected to release in Q3.
In Ora et Labora (which means "pray and work" in Latin), each player operates a medieval monastery (the "pray' half), building and expanding their workshops to develop a thriving and profitable business (the "work" half). As the game progresses, each player expands their little diocese, with the most valuable diocese at the end of the game being the winner.
Ora et Labora introduced one of the groundbreaking game mechanics that Rosenberg is known for: the production wheel, which controls the availability of resources in an innovative way. The modular board also helps improve the replayability of this worker placement game.
Ora et Labora is a game for one to four players, ages 13 and up, and plays in about three hours. MSRP was not announced.
