Steam Works is a steampunk worker placement game where players use their mechanics to collect components and power sources, and then build devices, which will later become action spaces for other players to use.  The central board lets players control small, two-component devices, but players can also assemble devices with three, four, or more components once the players assemble a device that makes it possible.  The modular mix-and-match nature of the game components and different action spaces allow for good replayability.  The game is for 2-5 playes, ages 12 and up, and plays in 90-120 minutes.  MSRP is $59.95.  Release date was not announced.

The minimalist deck-building game Flip City (formerly Design Town) by Taiwanese designer Chen Zhifan will release at Gen Con.  Players can only play cards from the top of their deck, one at a time.  Players may stop at any time, and may then purchase a new card with money they earne from played cards.  But if players play too many cards with unhappiness icons on them, their turn may end prematurely.  The goal is to earn 8 victory points on a single turn, or meet other conditions to win.  The game is for 1-4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30-50 minutes.  MSRP is $19.95.

Tasty Minstrel will also print a new edition of Luna in Q4. Designed by Stefan Feld (The Castles of Burgundy, Bruges, Bora Bora, Amerigo), this area control/tile placement game was a Spiel des Jahres recommended game in 2011.  The game was previously released in the U.S. by Z-Man Games. but has been out of print for some time, and commands inflated prices on the secondary market.  The game is for 1-4 players, ages 12 and up, and takes about 20-25 minutes per player.  MSRP is $59.95.

Due in September is the medieval worker placement/deck building game Orleans. The game was recently nominated for the Kennerspiel des Jahres award (see "2015 'Spiel des Jahres' Nominations").  This "bag building" game has players gather followers, establish trade stations and collect goods and money to gain supremacy.  There are many paths to victory, thus allowing for good replayability.  The game is for 2-4 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 90 minutes.  MSRP is $59.95.

Gold West is an area control/resource management game where players compete to build mining empires on the frontier.  Players must plan their building strategies while managing supply tracks to to refine the right resources at the most opportune times.  The game is for 2-4 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 45-60 minutes.  MSRP is $59.95.  Release date was not announced.

TMG will also be adding to its Eminent Domain universe with Battlecruisers and Eminent Domain: Exotica.

Battlecruisers is a standalone game, where players command their own deep space vessel, competing to be the first commander to either gain the required number of victory points, or be the last captain standing.  The game is for 3 -5 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 20 -30 minutes.  MSRP is $24.95.

Exotica is an expansion for Eminent Domain that expands the game past the edges of the known universe. There are exotic worlds to explore, aliens to befriend and asteroids to mine for valuable crystals.  As an expansion, it requires the base game to play (see "'Eminent Domain'").  MSRP is $24.95.

Cthulhu Realms, a humorous horror deck-building game based on Darwin Kastle’s Star Realms is also planned for Gen Con release (see "Darwin Kastle's 'Cthulhu Realms'").
