Dentsu Entertainment and Man of Action are developing a 26-episode animated Mega Man series for global release in 2017. The launch in 2017 will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Capcom videogame property. There have been anime series and OAV productions in the past, some of which have aired on U.S. television. There are over 130 video games based on the property, with over 30 million copies sold.
The property is widely available in various forms in the U.S., including manga from VIZ Media, videogame art books from UDON Entertainment, American comics from Archie, a UFS CCG from Jasco (see "New 'Mega Man' 'UFS' Releases"), and an upcoming board game (see "'Mega Man: The Board Game'") from Jasco.
Man of Action is Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steve T. Seagle, and is best known for its hit property Ben 10, as well as for many successful comics, graphic novels, and other animated series.
