“I promised I’d share news when I had it – sadly, that news is not good,” Cerone wrote. “…The studio tried to find a new home for the show, for which we’re forever grateful, but those efforts didn’t pan out.” Among others, Cerone thanked “the original Hellblazer writers and artists who gifted us a universe.”
The overall track record for comics-based TV shows has been outstanding over the last few years, so losing one isn’t the end of the world, but it’s unfortunate that this show, which averaged 4.5 million 18-49 viewers over its 13-episode run, couldn’t find a network where it was a fit.
