Brooklyn Comics & More
Brooklyn Comics & More, Inc., owners of Brooklyn Comics & More and Manhattan Comics & More, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and its assets will be liquidated.  The company listed around $101,000 in assets and $125,000 in liabilities in its filing.  Liabilities included $71,799.93 owed to Diamond Comic Distributors; this amount, while unsecured, was personally guaranteed by the owners.

Conte and Gary Esposito in September 2010, cited financial insolvency and other contributing factors as causes in its Chapter 7 Bankruptcy filing in the Southern District of New York on May 20.  The corporation’s assets, comprised of comic books, graphic novels, toys, statues, apparel, and other collectibles valued at over $400,000 retail will be liquidated by MYC and Associates, Inc.

Brooklyn Comics & More, Inc. acquired Brooklyn Monster Factory in late 2010, reopening it as Brooklyn Comics & More on Halloween.  It closed exactly three years later, on October 31, 2013.

Brooklyn Comics & More, Inc. purchased Cosmic Comics in Manhattan in early 2011, renaming it Manhattan Comics & More.  The store closed on May 5, 2013.
