Marvel’s Agent Carter exec producers and showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters will write the re-launched Captain Marvel comic beginning with #1, shipping this fall.  Kris Anka (Uncanny X-Men) will provide art. 

In the series, Captain Marvel, along with a fleet and a state of the art space station, will be Earth’s first line of defense against extraterrestrial threats.  First up, an abandoned ghost ship with a mysterious cargo appears in the galaxy.

Captain Marvel is one of 55-60 new titles that Marvel will launch over a three month period this fall (see “Marvel Teases Post-‘Secret Wars’ Title Line-Up”).
