A trailer for a series of three live-action 30-minute TV shows based on Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga has been released in Japan by the streaming service dTV.  The three shows focus on the lives of key characters from the new 2-part movie adaptation of Attack on Titan (see an AoT movie trailer here) and feature key actors from the films reprising their roles in the TV series.  The trailer is packed with action and has a few great shots of the gigantic flesh-munching Titans.

The first installment of the 3-episode Attack on Titan: Counter Rockets TV series will debut in Japan on August 15.   The first of the two live-action Attack on Titan movies debuts in Japan on August 1, while the second half of the saga set for September 19.  Attack on Titan remains the number one manga property in the U.S. with over 2.5 million copies of the 15 volumes of AoT manga in print (see “More Than 2.5 Million AoT Manga in U.S.”).

Debuting in Japan just a bit later in October is the Attack on Titan: Junior High anime series from Production I.G. that is based on the comedic spin-off manga by Saki Nakagawa that follows the characters from Isayama’s manga series through their Junior High school adventures.  The fun-filled Attack on Titan: Junior High manga has reached 8 volumes in Japan, and is available here from Kodansha (see “Kodansha Readies More Attack on Titan Titles”).
