Steve Jackson Games has announced the third title in its series of Munchkin Guest Artist Edition line.  This time it will be the martial arts movie themed Munchkin Fu illustrated by John Kovalic, planned for May release.

The original Munchkin Fu was illustrated by Greg Hyland, creator of the comic book parody webcomic Lethargic Lad.  Hyland was chosen because Kovalic, who had been the illustrator for the earlier Munchkin games, was unavailable.  Thus, ironically, Kovalic can be the “alternate artist” for a line of games that is famous, in part, for Kovalic’s quirky artwork.

Like the other games in the Munchkin Guest Artist Edition line, the new Munchkin Fu includes completely new artwork on all 168 game cards, a gameboard featuring artwork from the guest artist, and both male and female stand-up counters for six players.  MSRP is $29.95.
