Grant Morrison will put his own spin on the origin of Princess Diana in Wonder Woman: Earth One Vol. 1, a new original graphic novel releasing on April 6, DC announced via Hitfix.

Morrison will write, with art by Yanick Paquette (Swamp Thing, Batman, Inc). This version of the story will see a restless and rebellious young Diana meeting Air Force pilot Steve Trevor when he crashes on Paradise Island. In defiance of Amazonian law, she ventures into the forbidden world of men to save Steve’s life. The Amazons chase her, and return her to the island in chains to face trial.

The 144-page hardcover will have a MSRP of $22.99.
