Hasbro Studios has hired T.J. Fixman, the writer perhaps best known for his role leading storyline development for Insomniac Games’ Ratchet and Clank video game series, as creative consultant, according to Deadline.  Fixman will be charged with building stories for Hasbro brands for film, television, and digital.  Hasbro has a broad portfolio of toy and game brands, including those from Wizards of the Coast, and has two movies in development, a My Little Pony film (see “New ‘My Little Pony’ Movie Planned”), and Ouija 2.

Hasbro’s most successful media exploitation is the Transformers movies; a writers room was assembled this year to develop storylines for future movies (see “’Transformers’ Writers Room Starts Monday”).

Fixman also lead storyline development for Insomniac’s Resistance:  Fall of Man, and has screenwriter credits on Generation Heist, The Men Who Kill and Gargoyles.
